While private worship is a vital part of the Christian life, allowing us
to express our devotion to God, corporate worship is a definite part of
God’s plan for the Church. The Bible teaches us to assemble faithfully
and to encourage one another to focus on the ministry of Christ. “Some
people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must
not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since
you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer” (Hebrews
10:25 CEV).
